As DMS Dental, we delivered a comprehensive technical infrastructure project at the Istinye University Faculty of Dentistry campus, designed to meet all the requirements of modern medical education and clinical practice. Starting from the engineering design phase, this project represents a major achievement involving the integration of advanced dental units, central medical air–vacuum systems, and extensive dust aspiration networks.
Uninterrupted operation of the faculty’s clinical and laboratory departments has been ensured through our digital engineering capabilities:
BIM & AutoCAD-Supported Design:
All mechanical installation networks were digitally modeled using BIM and AutoCAD, fully aligned with the faculty’s architectural structure.
Flow & Pressure Optimization:
The medical air–vacuum demand of clinical units and the intensive dust aspiration requirements of laboratories were engineered through independent lines and loss-minimized flow calculations.
To support Istinye University’s high standards, the following system groups were implemented:
Premium Unit Integration:
A total of 36 Simple&Smart SS_One Italian Dental Units—combining aesthetics and ergonomics—were installed in the clinics. All installation requirements for these units were engineered and implemented through DMS expertise.
Central Medical Air Supply:
With 2 DMS Central Dental Compressor Systems, all workstations are supplied with 100% oil-free, dry, and sterile medical air. The redundant structure maximizes system safety and continuity.
Staged Vacuum Management:
By installing 1 DMS Central Dental Aspirator System (DA 30000) and 1 DMS Central Dental Aspirator System (DA 15000), clinical load was balanced and surgical-grade stable vacuum performance was established.
Comprehensive Dust Vacuum Solution:
To elevate laboratory hygiene, 8 DMS Central Dust Aspirator Systems were integrated. These systems extract particles generated during modeling and prosthetics work directly at the source, protecting the health of students and instructors.
Integrated Engineering:
Designing and installing the entire mechanical infrastructure—ranging from clinical units to dust vacuum systems—under one responsibility structure ensured complete system compatibility.
MDR Class IIa Assurance:
All domestically manufactured central systems used in the project comply fully with international medical device regulations under MDR (EU) 2017/745 Class IIa.
Sustainable Performance:
Smart energy management and digital control panels optimize operating costs while maximizing equipment lifetime.
