As DMS Dental, we achieved a cross-border engineering and construction milestone with the Al Fateh University Faculty of Dentistry project—one of Libya’s most prestigious academic institutions. Conducted between September 2007 and April 2008, this large-scale operation went far beyond equipment installation: it was a fully integrated turnkey project, delivered under DMS responsibility from building construction to ventilation systems, down to every technical detail.
The Al Fateh University project covered a comprehensive process—from “ground zero” to a fully functional dental hospital:
Turnkey Construction & Architectural Delivery:
The hospital building was constructed in compliance with dental clinical standards. Area zoning, laboratory layouts, and sterilization corridors were built through DMS engineering design and execution.
Electrical & Mechanical Infrastructure:
All electrical lines were designed to meet the high-power demands of dental units, while the complete mechanical installation network—water, air, and vacuum—was installed by our professional teams.
Hygienic HVAC & Ventilation Systems:
To protect air quality in clinics and operating rooms, central ventilation and Hygienic Air Conditioning Systems were engineered and commissioned.
Central Water Treatment:
High-capacity centralized purification units were installed to supply uninterrupted purified water to all units and laboratories.
The faculty’s treatment and training areas were equipped to international standards:
Premium Dental Unit Installation:
A total of 32 high-technology Ultradent dental units were installed in the clinics, including completion of all required infrastructure connections.
Central Power Systems:
One set of a high-performance central dental compressor system and one set of a central dental suction (aspiration) system were installed to guarantee continuous operation for all 32 units.
Laboratory Equipment:
All preclinical and laboratory equipment required for hands-on student education was delivered, including technical installation and commissioning.
Single Contractor, Complete Responsibility:
Managing construction, electrical, mechanical works, ventilation, hygienic HVAC, medical devices, and water treatment under a single contractor (DMS) ensured on-time delivery in line with international standards.
Exporting Engineering Expertise:
DMS added value to Libya’s academic infrastructure not only through devices, but through complete healthcare campus design and implementation capability.
